And then I give you a short story for what you asked for and a word count:309/200+ wordsTheoden has lived three hundred and sixty years in a forest with the rest of the elves, but he had always wanted to be apart of the human world. He longed for the day he could explore a big city, and wear the cool clothes he's seen in the catalogs he stole from the small town next to the forest when he snuck out.He always tries to run away, but he never makes it very far before one of the elders come and take him back. One day while sitting atop one of the largest trees staring longingly at the great city in the distant he hears the high elders conversing below him."We need to up our defenses, make it to where we know everyone and everything that comes in and out of this forest", declares one of the high elders. "I could have the alchemists work on a protection spell, make a barrier that only few can get by", responds another. "Yes that'll do I suppose, make it ready by sunrise tomorrow", the first orders.Theoden's heart leaps, "no, no, no, how will I ever make it out of here?!", he thinks to himself. He decides that he has to go tonight. He packs up his things and makes a plan of when and where he will go.So he leaves, and for once no one follows. They were all too preoccupied making the barrier to make sure no one made it through before they were up.He makes a new life for himself, he took all of the human money the elders had saved for an emergency, and he buys a little bakery in the big city that he had yearned to be apart of for so long. He also buys loads of the cool clothing in his catalog. Theo finally felt as so he belonged.
